Singing workshops and classes in North London

"I cannot describe the liberation and freedom I have gained from
finding my voice again."
Marsha Benson

It is great to understand the mechanics and theory of singing. But nothing beats the real experience. I know something when I have experienced it.

Theartofsinging is a wonderful, magic journey through the understanding of the correct use of your voice and breath control into the knowing and the unexplainable mystery of singing. The aim is to uplift you by inviting you to let go of what you thought was possible and to expand your sensation of joy and expression.

What you can expect from a workshop or class

  • A non-mechanical approach to a professional voice technique that really works.

  • Individual help and attention when necessary.

  • Improvisations to help you being more expressive and creative.

  • Working with the body and breath control in both a practical and creative way.

  • Learning to be more present and confident through singing.

  • Singing and interacting with others.

  • Opening the door to more joy and magic in your life.

  • Having fun and being moved through positive change.

  • Saturday Singers

Saturday Singers are singing classes with a maximum of 4 participants lasting 75 minutes.

There are two levels of classes, beginners and intermediate.

A beginner's class will teach you all the basics of breath control, projection and the connection between voice and body. You will become more confident in using your voice and singing will become much more fun and easy. We will work on songs, improvisations and harmonies.

An intermediate class is for those who have done some singing and are familiar with the basics. We will explore the voice with more advanced tools and look at how we become more expressive in our singing and performing.

This is a great alternative to solo lessons, which might not be what you want to invest in right now. But that shouldn't hold you back from singing, having fun and developing your voice, all at the same time!

I have attended the small group lessons on a weekly basis and the benefits have been extraordinary.

They are extremely affordable and I have found hearing other people sing helps me to distinguish the areas of my voice that I can adjust and improve. I could see my strengths and weakness through the mirror effect of working with others.
    Sue James

You can be a regular Saturday Singer or an occasional one though to get most out of the lessons regular attendance is recommended. You will receive lots of personal help and attention as well as the benefit of working with other singers.
