About Nanna Brincker

-Politiken-Denmark's leading newspaper Nanna Brincker, M.A., studied music and singing in Paris, Denmark and London and has worked successfully as an opera singer in England and on the continent.
As a versatile singer and performer she has performed major roles in both classical and contemporary opera and has sung with some of the worlds leading conductors and musicians.
In 1997 she sang in the world premier of Boudicca, an opera written especially for her and performed at "Den Anden Opera", The Contemporary Opera House in Copenhagen.
She has performed extensively as a solo artist with leading symphony orchestras and as a concert singer. She was a member of "The Shout", a contemporary performance group of singers with a background in jazz and classical music.
During her years as a performer she kept up a practice of private teaching and in year 2000 after a prolonged illness, she decided to dedicate herself to teaching full time.
She has successfully taught professional singers, actors and amateurs from all walks of life for over 20 years. Many of her students are in work and both her professional and amateur pupils are confident performers.
Starting Theartofsinging came from a deep desire to teach how to create a harmonious marriage between a good technique and the unexplainable joy and magic a singer can experience. She believes that this can be experienced not only by professional singers but by everyone willing to go on an explorative journey into what we are really capable of.
Her interest in music as an agent for health and transformation gave her the opportunity to be trained by "Music for Life" based at The Wigmore Hall. "Music for Life" is a program working with the life enhancing qualities and the regenerative effects that music has on Alzheimer patients.
